The area is extremely quiet being approximately 12 miles off the main road from Russe to Varna. It is an area with low hills, a small river curving among them, several small and medium size lakes suitable for fishing, surfing or other water sports, nice forests - good for hunting of deer, wild boar, birds, or just walking and going for a picnic among the nature. The roads are accessible all year long and there are easy connections by bus and train towards Russe, Razgrad and other major cities in Bulgaria. It takes an hour (hour and a half max) to get to Varna airport and the sea coast. It is 20 minutes drive to Ruse - a big administrative and trade center situated on the Danube river.
The village is a medium size one with approximately 800 people living there. The people are very friendly and helpful. There are about 4 other English speaking people that already own properties in the village and two or three of them are living permanently there.
